IT AIN'T OVER TIL THE FAT LADY SINGS

Some of you probably remember the famous phrase, "It Ain't Over Til The Fat Lady Sings." Any Flyer's fans out there? Back in the days of Bobby Clark when he was the player not the coach, Kate Smith would open their games by singing "God Bless America." The Flyers won the Stanley cup two years in a row in the 80s and touted Kate's singing the song as a good luck charm. Some of the fans and players used the phrase to denote Kate's magical influence on Flyer's games. Actually, the phrase was used in Opera. Here is one definition that I think fits the moment: "the opera ain't over till the fat lady sings", there being a popular image that most operas end with some statuesque diva belting out an aria to conclude the opera performance. It means that you need to wait for the final score before assuming a winner.

Therefore, we cannot claim success until my feet are on Pennsylvania ground. Then, and only then, will we know the task set before me was accomplished.

Please keep your prayers coming, we will need them here for what will be happening in March.
